Title IX baby.
Since Hollywood gets tax breaks from the government, doesn’t that mean they have to have an affirmative action program as well as “goals” for representation by women at all levels? I’ve worked in an industry dependent on government funding that for 30 years has taken job opportunities/promotions/pay raises away from men and given it to less qualified women to meet those goals. It’s about time male Hollywood directors started sharing that experience with their lesser male counterparts.
