I’d like to think this is as serious as NBC’s story on the lack of “diversity” of the Academy voters. How perfect is that! Perhaps Hollywood can self implement a quota system for acting roles before our outstanding Attorney General launches an investigation. Chris Rock as Vito Corleone in Godfather 4! Mo’Nique as Margaret Thatcher in Iron Lady 2! Sean Penn as Malcolm X in Malcolm X2! I can do this all day! Michael Moore as George Bailey in It’s a Good Life 2.
I hope the Dictator is funny but it fills like Borat of Libya. As funny as I think Sacha Baron Cohen is and I think he’s Peter Sellers funny, you can only go to that well so many times. The same thing happened to Peter Sellers with the Pink Panther movies that often weren’t as funny as the expectation of them being funny.
